Bella Poarch, born on 9 February 1997 in the Philippines to Filipino biological parents. Her grandmother was a resident of the slums in Manila until she reached the age of three. The father of her adoptive family is white American with military experience while her adoptive mother is Filipino. She claims that she and the brother were neglected by the adoptive parents since her childhood until she joined the army. After a brief stay at San Francisco, her family relocated to Texas to aid her father undergo a bypass operation. The physical abuse ceased in the end, however the father continued to emotionally abuse her in the home. At the age of aged 18, she enlisted in the United States Navy. Poarch opened her TikTok account in April 202020. She quickly rose to the top of the charts, garnering more than 40,000,000 fans within just eight months. She uploaded various videos but her biggest hit was a music video featuring Millie B's viral song Soph Aspin Send. The zoomed-in video of her rhythmically jumping and lip-syncing to the tune made the rounds and was one of TikTok's most popular video clips of all time. In order to capitalize on the popularity gained since joining TikTok in December 2016 Poarch set up YouTube as well as Twitter profiles. Poarch's rising fame peaked in November 2020. It was reported that she drew the attention of two major professional Esports organizations. 100 Thieves as well as FaZe Clan expressed interest in employing her to create content for the respective brand names.
